Getting real goddamn tired of being scolded by people on social media to vote in person when THE WHOLE WEST COAST VOTES BY MAIL, let alone my entire state. Eight states total are entirely mail-in. Neighborhood polling places do not exist here. You're not presenting solutions for any of us.

Just wait until those healthcare cuts take affect during Democratic reign of the Senate/House of course. Dems need to be talking about that every. Single. Day. Drum it into their heads, it’s all Trump’s fault but scheduled so it wI’ll look like Dems did it! 🤬

It's worth noting that this isn't a random number but a goal that would simply restore the court to an earlier norm in which there's one justice for each of the judicial circuits. We used to have nine, we now have thirteen. The people defending the current setup have the tougher case to make here.

Rep. James Clyburn says he supports expanding the Supreme Court: "13 is a pretty good number. A baker's dozen would be a good number to have on the Court."

Ron and Cassie DeSantis: These two crooks stole $10 million from a settlement with a charity, wired it to Cassie’s fake “charity,” laundered it through two puppet organizations, and then used it for political ads in an election year. They should be in jail.

I've advocated for open source software – proven, reliable, inexpensive – in HE for over a decade and interpreted the lack of take up as an indication of a risk-averse culture in university IT and management. Then commercial companies come along with "AI" and risk assessments go out the window.

find it mystifying that these completely unproven tools are being used for critical tasks by hitherto quite conservative organisations

In 1976, during an unforgettable episode of her syndicated television variety show Dolly!, Dolly Parton welcomed her close friends and fellow music icons Emmylou Harris and Linda Ronstadt to share the stage.

There is so much amazing crop art this year at the Minnesota State Fair focused on the resistance to the ICE occupation we faced, this one in particular had me choked up.

Crop art with a whistle text says

I can't keep doing this
I have to keep doing this

These people had protected status. They lived here legally. They worked, they paid taxes. They made lives. Raised families. Now we’ve dehumanized them. Ripped away that protection and told them to get out. This is a stain on the soul of this Nation.
