Good job city of Van for closing off every access road to my vets office for a marathon. And not letting me park in their lot when you’re literally in the process of reopening the roads. Yes thank you I WILL PARK 3 blocks away and walk in. Luckily you’d just OPENED the road at 3 blocks away away.

I know it’s arrogant, I know I was never better than anyone else. But I miss feeling like I was someone important at work. Feels like my career has been regressing. I don’t wanna be humbled grandpa!

Althia Raj is doing some of the most important reporting out there right now, exposing how Carney is dismantling any semblance of Canada’s progressive values. Pharmacare, child care, now the environment… Please, pay attention. He’s eviscerating environmental laws worse than Harper. Than HARPER!!!

Screenshot of an article by Althia Raj: “Opinion | Mark Carney runs roughshod over the environment:
'It's worse than what Harper did'”Excerpt from Althia’s article reads:

“Prime Minister Mark Carney plans to make it easier to kill off endangered species, pollute waterways and risk human health, all in the name of fast-tracking private-sector development projects.
For a prime minister who dismissed progressive Liberal MPs concerns over spending on child care, health care and pharmacare during a caucus meeting this week, Friday's announcement on streamlining infrastructure project approvals is a further indication the party is moving to the right, further than anything Liberals have seen, and a giant call to action to all Canadians who care about the environment.”Excerpt from Althia’s article reads:

“"It's shocking," Anna Johnston, a staff lawyer at West Coast Environmental Law, told the Star. "This would represent by far the worst evisceration of environmental law in Canadian history, far worse than what happened under Prime Minister (Stephen) Harper's government in 2012."
"It's worse than what Harper did, I agree," said Steven Guilbeault, the Liberal MP and former environment minister. "This goes beyond what Harper proposed when he was in power, yes, that's true"
If the federal government's proposed changes go ahead, Guilbeault said it will mean "we will have no way of evaluating or understanding what are the human health and environment impacts of projects we are approving - and that the main criteria to evaluate projects moving forward, if this is adopted, is going to be economic development and nothing else will matter."
Phil Pothen, a land-use, planning, environmental and administrative lawyer at Environmental Defence, said the government's proposal would "grant any company or project the government chooses a blank cheque to just drive entire species to extinction or extirpation.”

Vancouver Mayor Ken Sim proclaimed May 29, 2024 as “Guy Felicella Day” in honour of my work advocating for “BOTH HARM REDUCTION AND RECOVERY.” Tomorrow, I’m returning it. I won’t be used as part of a disingenuous display of fake compassion. My full statement is below 👇

Back in 2021, while we were all still working from home, I started noodling around on this idea for a cartoon series pitch called “Theodore von Barnyard”. It was about a young Sasquatch who, after breaking in to a cabin in the woods and watching waaaay too many DVDs…

A cartoon drawing of a Sasquatch crossing a busy city street.
