See, the Art of the Deal is when you bully the weakest party to accept anything. Like extorsion in exchange for the privilege of defeat. And then, you give another weaker party - weaker than you - anything they want. Like someone else's country in exchange for your own standing in the world.

There were quite a few strong contenders, but this is the most important book I read in 2024. The case for a positive vision of masculinity and reinvention of boyhood and manhood for a world where "women no longer need men, but kids still need their fathers".

i would feel uncomfortable unless it was going to something like an independent foundation that supported a distributed ecosystem on here rather than to a single corporate entity, Bluesky Social. they should certainly get money from it but they shouldn’t administer the funds.

Optimist: the cup is half full. Pessimist: the cup is half empty. EU: after 6 years, a HISTORIC milestone! As part of the #EUDEL package ("A Europe that delivers"), the EU approved the Comprehensive Cup Act (#CCA), thus becoming the first major economy to lead the way in the regulation of cups!

Here’s a crazy fact for you: Spain and Germany have now seen basically the exact same amount of economic growth post-2008. Would have been unthinkable to people during most of the 2010s. Spain has seen ~10 percentage points more cumulative growth since 2017.
