over the past few weeks several AI evaluation/cybersecurity experts have explained how what's happening is a result of human incompetence rather than "AI going rogue". I'm begging the media to show a shred of journalistic integrity and stop parroting what altman or amodei say

An OpenAI system has gone rogue again – and it is the most panic-inducing yet

Cosmic Era Gundam is more grounded in reality than Universal Century Gundam and I will not be taking criticism at this time.

I'm having one of those days where my papercrafts just feel sort of unremarkable.

My doctor has advised me to get someone physio therapy & unfortunately my insurance does not kick in for another few months so I'm boosting commissions. Papercraft commissions are also available! For those please contact me at jax.meadows@yahoo.ca or send me a DM. #vgen #commission

My commissions are live over on vGen! I'd appreciate if you'd be willing to take a look! I'll be adding more options in the coming days. vgen.co/artofjax #vgen #commissionsopen

My two hottest takes today are: 1) you probably don't need to use ceremonial grade matcha if your goal is a heavily sweetened latte. 2) about 90% of complaints about character designs wouldn't exist if the average gamer had better visual literacy & paid attention to things beyond fandom.

I'm opening up a couple of papercraft commission slots for busts & half bodies! For now I'll have 2 slots open. Prices start at $90usd but will vary depending on the complexity of the character. If you'd like a quote please feel free to contact me by DM or by email at jax.meadows@yahoo.ca!

I also did the art for one of the trading cards for the zine! I think this was the fastest I've ever completed a papercraft. I've been fond of Edward Chris von Muir since playing Dissidia Opera Omnia. #ffdoo #dissidia

I've started using washi paste for assembling my papercraft. It's nice since it has a long work time. But the long work time means it takes so long to dry, even on tiny pieces.

One other, less serious but no less irritating, downside to Rowling being a bigot & turning Harry Potter into a dog whistle for that bigotry is that I can no longer see a big stripy scarf without doing a double take & wondering if it's a terf wizard scarf.

I haven't bonded enough with my WoL. #FFXIV

I don't use AI in my art. If the hands look weird I did that shit myself.

☀️ LEFTOVERS CLOSING IN 12 HRS ⚔️ It's the final countdown! 🚨 The shop will close in just 12 hours. We still have a few copies left, and they need a home! Stop by the shop today. ☺️ 🛒 ffgentszine.bigcartel.com

Please. I am begging you. Read another book.

If you know what JK Rowling is doing & still choose to give money to the Harry Potter franchise, you’ve made your priorities pretty damn clear. I wondered if it was my imagination that HP references were multiplying. Nope! Check out @jessiegender.bsky.social's video. youtu.be/xxD1ekkA7hc?...

Please do not use an AI generated picture as a reference for a commission. I will definitely decline your request. I am way too tired to see AI everywhere. I can understand it can help to clear a vision, but a very simple sketch is definitely much more favorable than slop.

Time to show some love for FFVI! I hope you all will enjoy my papercraft!

Currently aspiring to have Yoshihiko Umakoshi level skills for posing. My god man, your lines.

I've opened up my chibi commissions! If you're interested please contact me at ✨jaxmeadows@yahoo.ca

Some papercrafts of Kairi & Namine that I did for some zines. I really wanted these pieces to mirror each other but also have the contrast between the warm & cool colours. #kingdomhearts

Here's a World Ends With You zine piece from a few years ago! Making a papercraft of Mitsuki's boss fight was so fun! #artsky #TWEWY

Thinking of you, wherever you are. I still really like the lucky charm seal I designed. #kingdomhearts #stationery #waxseal

Some examples of my chibi style. I love KH DDD and drawing Sora's stupid shoes. My chibi comms are open here: ko-fi.com/c/5c51ffb137 #kingdomhearts #artsky #KHDDD #digitalart #commissions

Images you can hear. #khfanart #kingdomhearts #jaxart

The next key piece needed to understand Kingdoms Hearts should be an 800 page novel because a) I'm craving a fun fantasy novel and b) I think it would be really funny to watch all the lore YouTubers meltdown over having to read.

Sometimes I think we should make everyone take life drawing classes at the post secondary level because I need people to get over the idea that struggling to churn out 3 completed drawings that show the weight and contours of the human form in 15 stints is a sexy endeavor.
