I read about people playing D&D on the internet when I was in middle school. I thought D&D sounded stupid so I wrote my own RPG and played it with my friends. (I had not actually read D&D or any other RPG.) (The system was a trainwreck, but we still had good fun with it.)
James D'Amato@oneshotrpg.bsky.social · last wk."How did you get into RPGs?" I had a crush on someone in college who was playing and I thought joining the game would help me get to know them. Turns out the hobby is full of cool, interesting, hot people, so I became an expert.
I have to shout it again!! All's Fair is live now! It's a 2 player RPG about wanting to fuck each other so bad you save the world about it! Inspired by Nasha Barridge and Mickey Barnes from Mickey 17! You can have it and play it and touch each other!

screaming "trans rights free Palestine fuck all recruiters tricking the young gambling is a blight and i think we will look back at it the same way we do cigarettes now" at the start of every stream to give everyone an ad-free experience
Zach Bussey 🍁@zachbussey.tos.gg · 2w agoCEO Dan Clancy says Twitch now uses AI to identify streamers that may not match a brand, since it now transcribes all streams for brand safety. It won't show ads on channels or content the AI believes don't match what the advertiser is trying to achieve.

It's no longer enough to give APs a tut-tut about continuing to play DnD. There are plenty of things that disqualify the Hasbro Ampersand but it's simply unacceptable to claim you support queer and marginalized people while still boosting the Brand.

bandcamp friday picks! beyond trying to increase my elfgames cred by amassing dungeon synth, KG&TLW's new album is fuckin stellar. didn't expect it to be so DnB-centric, but something about aliens and DnB seem to just belong together (see also: Pendulum - Visions; Jordana - OVNI (Ever Present))

ok, well, let's talk about coping. a lot of people (including me, i remain unashamed) talk about coping vs. healing. but what does that mean. what does it look like. how does it actually translate to action. well, let's define some terms and use some illustrative allegories:
with the death of my sister, my spouse and I are hosting/parenting/feeding her kids (my nephews, 7 and 10) a lot more than previously. especially right now while we're in mourning, school about to start, their mom works a ton, and my folks (who usually babysit) are indisposed. and i need some help
