I’m sorry, but there’s just no affirmative case for this company to exist. I get it, groups have used and still use Facebook to organize, etc, but the inherent terribleness of this organization necessitates closing it down completely.

I also wanted to pull out a special part of the piece: fuck Jensen Huang. By forcing customers to take early delivery of GPUs to boost quarterly revenues, he artificially inflated the price of RAM and every consumer electronic. What he and his hyperscale paypigs have done is morally reprehensible.

Sidenote: Fuck Jensen Huang, man. This means that the increased price of RAM and consumer electronics was a result of an artificial "supply chain crisis" created by Jensen Huang pushing NVIDIA's customers to take early delivery of GPUs. Jensen Huang is responsible for making life worse for everyone. What a greedy, joyless, soulless oaf of a man. Doing this requires you to be a certain kind of low that no money or status can ever fix. Jensen Huang is a piece of shit. Every hyperscaler CEO is too. These scumbags drove the price of everything up so that they could all help Jensen Huang make more money. We did not need him to build all these GPUs. He just wanted to sell them to boost earnings. Everyone who participated in the early shipment of GPUs is a scumbag. I would like to take this opportunity to apologize for taking a break from calling these people what they were. I decided to temper some of my more acerbic tendencies because I figured it should take a back-seat to my financial analysis. I won’t make that mistake again. What these people have done is morally reprehensible, on top of the already-vast damage done by the very existence of generative AI. This destructive, pointless void of an industry has made everything it touches worse, all to prop up the vague dreams and excesses of the wealthiest, most powerful and utterly fucking dull pieces of shit I’ve ever had the misfortune of witnessing. Everything is more annoying, expensive and worse on some level because of generative AI, down to the price of fucking US treasuries. Everyone who aided in the ascent of generative AI should know they have profited off of making the world worse. A divide has emerged that is much, much larger than data centers. How into AI were you? How defensive of the industry were you? Were you normal about LLMs, or did you act strangely defensive of them? Why did you do that? How gullible were you about the financial or technical promises of AI? These questions will likely be asked of you in the next few years, and I believe your answers will be illuminating. Even if LLMs somehow survive in an open source form, the industry as it exists today is held together through cultism and private equity excess and is rigged to blow. The world will be different afterwards, eventually for the better.

NVIDIA seems to be channel stuffing, forcing Amazon and other customers to take early delivery. The argument that these things are "scarce" when you don't even have anywhere to plug them into is nonsense...unless NVIDIA is saying you NEED to take them now, or else. GPUs are stacked in warehouses.
