I happened to go to the real-life bar that Magica Riot's Dark Water bar is based on and scarfed down a vegan chik'n fried tofu stake and a pile of home fries and a blueberry lemon hard seltzer, so that was a nice outing
Open the "Villainess" tag on a manga or anime site, pick one at random, and go fucking bananas. But of course it's not about the art or the trope or whatever, it's about participation in a fandom that does big numbers and signals one's shit politics
If people doing the "Malfoid" art trend just wanted to draw platinum-blonde witches, they could be drawing Diana Cavedish from Little Witch Academia. Unfortunately, the incel-speak and the racism is the appeal to them
I’m a simple girl, I just want to live in a big house with all my cool girltype folks and watch the death of capitalism
woah guys new art trend its called "dont fucking drop your moral compass by giving into terf wizard series peer pressure" it doesn't even require you to draw anything that's crazy
*wondering why I feel so weird and awkward* oh yeah I forgot to take the estrogen that makes me feel like a real person
Still patiently waiting to be "left behind" by AI rather than it chasing me across every damn space like a slasher in a low budget flick.
me when presented with a serving of rice everybody says is too much for me to eat
i think we're all on the same page about the harry potter fanart that is going around thankfully. but in case you happen not to be, i promise you're not "sticking it to jk rowling" by drawing harry potter fanart, no matter how off model or sexualised you're making it

Little Magica Riot N64 Fan Demo Update! I added pipes to the corridors in The Vault! If you can figure out what I used as reference for them then you should buy yourself a cookie! I also spent a bunch of time trying to figure out why my animations were crashing the level and found something!!
I often get nervous recommending games because like, idk, *I* liked something, but I have no idea if it’ll hit others that way, and I don’t want that kind of responsibility. I’ll like something made for little money with janky animations and performance issues if it has lesbians in it. YMMV
I can’t help but read this in Bloom’s voice

So, should you buy Magica Riot? Yes: store.magicariot.com "It's so refreshing to just sit down and love something that's maybe "a little" niche but absolutely adores its premise and wants to show you exactly what it loves about itself" Thank you @magicariot.com for writing the book <3 #BookSky
An Unprofessional Review of: Magica Riot
Well, it only took moving to Portland, meeting the author herself, another year, and literally putting it on my class syllabus, but I’m finally doing it! It’s time to write my review of…

MuZe is in Draft Hell@muzetrigger.bsky.social · 4d agoAnother long overdue review coming... Soon (tm) In the mean time, I archived my first time reactions because... I'm weird like that. And also I think people would get a kick out of them over my hyper unprofessional book reviews :p Anyway, go buy the book!
It's Friday and I think you should immerse yourself in the world of queer Portland magical girls! My Maidensong Magica universe, featuring works by me & @rowanchurch.bsky.social, builds a whole world of stories about PDX's magical girls. I'd like to share them with you! (thread) magicariot.com/buy
Me feeding so many indie games to my backlog...
This was so much fun! I had no idea how badly I needed this section of Jade's story. Engaging ideas, magical girl action, an immediately endearing supporting cast, and plenty of lesbians. Can't wait for more!
