How to know if the self help book is written by a neurotypical author: WRT habits, they talk about brushing teeth like it’s never a choice, it’s just a habit. “You don’t have to think about brushing your teeth, right?” Yes. I do. Every time. Habits aren’t exactly habitual for some.

Remember Netflix shame? I have Steam shame. If I have an idle/pomodoro game running, I’ll often let my computer go to sleep for the night and not turn it off. But now Steam tells my friends I’ve been playing this game for 1300 hours. Rusty’s Retirement is good but there’s not 1300 hours of play.

CatDaMaMa@catdamama.bsky.social · 7mo agoAs of 12/24/25, USPS changed policy on when they postmark mail. Mail dropped off is no longer guaranteed a same-day postmark. Tax returns & other time-sensitive items are now stamped when they reach a regional processing center, which may be days later. Plan deadlines accordingly to avoid penalties.
