Decided to try out #ArtFight this year for the first time. Was a little late getting my page set up, but as soon as I did I was attacked by @flowlithid.bsky.social with this gorgeous pic of my characters Alula & Terra! Gonna be striking back with a pic of her OC's Joss & Cuddil #ArtFightTeamComedy
@serenaguerra.bsky.social
Heat waves. Thanks to @climateadam.bsky.social's most recent video, which helped inform this comic and gave me the kick I needed to make it.
Been working on some updated character sheets for the characters in my story. This one is for Alula!
Human minds crave simplicity and easy, quick categorizations; that's why many stereotypes and false assumptions about those in marginalized groups run wild in our dominant culture (because it’s easier for people to oversimplify by thinking in black and white while ignoring nuance).
Human Binaries: NeuroDivergent and Queer – Coloring Outside the Lines Will Be Punished – Intro to my latest book, Neurodivergent Rebel’s, The Weight of Normal
Human minds crave simplicity and easy, quick categorizations; that's why many stereotypes and false assumptions about those in marginalized groups run wild in our dominant culture (because it’s easier for people to oversimplify by thinking in black and white while ignoring nuance). This creates a failure to appreciate people as individual humans, and pressure on everyone to fit within narrow, unnatural, binary norms and categorizations.

This sketch study took about 25min for two people. Really enjoying the challenge of trying to quickly lay out poses like this.
Here's day 6 of doing a 15min warm up sketch a day. I'm trying to not just copy what I see, but to also better understand how forms look and react in space so that I can better imagine new poses while drawing my comic.
Forgot to post yesterday's sketch pose here, so this is day 5's quick sketch warm up. I did go a little over 15 min because I accidentally got hung up on details for a moment & forgot to watch the clock. I realized it though, stopped myself, & continued on with my focus on overall pose & form.
Day four of a 15 min warm up sketch a day. Today's pose reference comes from a Tiktok user named Local Overlord.
Been really quiet of late working on a bunch of things behind the scenes. This was one of them, and the moment is FINALLY here: 🎉 COMMISSIONS ARE OPEN! 🎉 artistree.io/flowlithid All info and pricing is at the link. I'm looking forward to bringing your characters and ideas to life!
@trueref.bsky.social Day three with another 15 min sketch study! I wanna get into the habit of doing one a day, if possible. I like that Procreate can automatically do time lapse videos to share. Today I used another pose from TrueRef. They gotta lot of good stuff over their!
Springtime in different genre's. 🌸🍃 TrueRef: Just the reference you were looking for.
Trying to make sketch studies more of an everyday habit again. Here's a 15 min study I did of a photo of a breakdancer.
Trying out this month's TrueRef challenge! Because of the skull I had to draw my character Sister in Arms Basia, a warrior priestess of Incendis who also is Keeper of the Skulls within the order, which means she personally cares for the skull of an ancestor and guards their catacombs. #TrueRefDT012

Just finished the borders for my first three Tarot character cards! Here's another look at Starling as the Fool card, now with a border. :)
Decided to make a Lady Justice to go with my Lady Liberty. Really enjoy making these flowy rainbow gowns. 🌈 ✨️
Continuing to work on panels for the next episode of It Takes a World. Here's a peek at one of the growing ambassadors as she does an interview for a Solarpunk podcaster!
Minnesota National Guard members have arrived at a federal building and were directed to distribute donuts, coffee, and hot chocolate to anti-ICE protesters. Guard members were issued reflective vests so they would not be mistaken for federal agents.
Big milestone! "It Takes a World" just hit 10 episodes! This is a Solarpunk SciFi, which means it imagines a more inclusive, environmentally friendly future, where things don't actually fall apart. Now more than ever, I think we all need more Solarpunk #solarpunk www.webtoons.com/en/canvas/it...
NEW: China is testing a megawatt-scale airborne wind system that captures stronger high-altitude winds, potentially producing up to 10× more energy with 40% less material and 30% lower costs. It could also be quickly deployed to supply emergency power after disasters.
I thought it would be fun to make Tarot style character cards for each of the characters in my Webtoon, 'It Takes a World'. Since this story has just started, I decided to finish Starlings fool card first, as we are both new to this journey. The latest installment is now available on Webtoon Canvas!
Hey everyone! Wanted to let you all know that I just uploaded another segment of It Takes a World to Webtoons Canvas! Hope you enjoy! 😃 www.webtoons.com/en/canvas/it...
Here's the link to my new web comic that's now live on Webtoons Canvas! First three episodes are up, so give it a read and let me know what you think! www.webtoons.com/en/canvas/it...

So last night I did a thing! The first three episodes of It Takes a World are now live on Webtoons! I plan to try to post weekly episodes and am so excited (and nervous) to show it to you!
Look what just got in!! I'm so excited for C2E2 this weekend! I'll be at T-13!
Just wanted to let everyone know I will be at C2E2 this weekend in Artist Alley at table T-13! Also, this is the pic of my characters that I did for the Zine C2E2 put together featuring artists here in Chicagoland! See you all there!! ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜
The Indigenous People of North America have decided to go back to calling the Gulf of Mexico, “Chalchiuhtlicueyecatl”. It is what the Nahuatl People originally called it as it is the domain of the goddess Chalchiuhtlicue, who is assoc w/water bodies, including the Gulf of Mexico.
My iPen stopped working yesterday. Took it to the Apple Store and had one of their tech guys take a look. He confirmed it was kaput. 3 days till the new one comes in. On a side note, if my comic doesn't eventually do well, Jeff thinks I may have a future in interior design 😆
