My family and I drove an hour and a half last weekend to the closest comic shop to pick it up. We usually only make the trip so our daughter can snag goodies on free comic book day. It's a great book out of the gate and im looking forward to some new Concrete collected editions. Bravo!

GOOD NEWS! A personalized mRNA vaccine, known as mRNA-4157, has shown promise in keeping melanoma, a deadly skin cancer, from returning. FIVE years later, NEARLY 70% of people in the vaccine group are CANCER-FREE. The vaccine also cut a person’s risk of the cancer metastasizing by NEARLY 60%.

In The Art of Ray Harryhausen the illustrations (he was a great draughtsman, too) for unrealized productions outnumbered filmed projects maybe five to one. So many "if only"s.

The great visual effects wizard Ray Harryhausen was born on 29 June 1920. Revered and respected by his peers and younger generations, that he was also a kind and generous soul makes us miss him all the more.

Is there a name for those square indentations in the interior of arches? Probably unrelated, but the rectangular boxes in the arcing ceilings of the Washington DC metro tunnels are remarkably effective sound baffles.

I have said before -- several times this year -- that Chadwick's Concrete stories are psychological classics. If you love comics that make you think and feel, you want the new Concrete series. And know, I've never met Chadwick and have no financial interest. Concrete is just that great.
