I knit. PhD & MPH from UCBerkeley. Scientific. Legal-minded. Atheist/feminist. Living on Naarm. Melbourne north-side. My kids say I hate everything. My brother once said 'You should meet my sister; she's almost a communist'. I have very interesting kids.

You know those days when stars align? Yeah, nah. I don't believe in that crap. But today somethings happened so that my beautiful disabled son had one of the best days of his life. He got to ride on a vintage steam train, an old carousel and a ferry across Port Phillip Bay. (1)

Rowling *never* writes about women’s rights, workplace discrimination or the threats to women from predatory men. I tracked her posts for five months: Well over 200 hateful transphobic smears. Not a single post about women’s actual concerns or needs None

My pregnant daughter is having extensive scans because of her brother’s multiple birth defects. I think I am struggling emotionally more than my daughter. A new set of results today are only flagged and followed up on because of family history. It’s hard not to be paralysed with fear. /1

The reason I can't have new friends is because i stood up my friend Rory earlier this year because I forgot we had lunch plans. Anyway he is the lead singer of Rudely Interrupted. And blind and ASD and @heymum3.bsky.social 's son rudelyinterrupted.bandcamp.com/track/christ...

Lucky I made friends a few years ago, @heymum3.bsky.social I brought tickets for this. So after this, I only need to see the Gorillaz and I never need to go to a live gig again. I will always wish I saw the Beastie Boys though.
