(Rant 🧵) The one part that does suck about the Metroid Ravenous reveal tbh is the immediate clowning on Prime 4 people have started to do. Like yes I get it, ok, Prime 4 wasn't perfect after such a long wait. But fucking uuughghgh. I do not like the propping up of one game to diminish the other.

If Link looked more realistic, the same people would say he looks too serious. If he was more cartoonish, they'd say he's not serious enough. If he was a different style, they'd say it was too far from the original. If it was 100% accurate, they'd say it was lazy. They will always find a reason.

People act like "Cancel Culture" can never be appeased, but the truth is if your current words & actions show growth, a simple "Yeah, that old stuff was bad. I regret it and I am sorry for it." is genuinely enough to end a "controversy" before it's even begun. Too many people can't manage that tho.
