The world could be such a nice place if we allowed it. It's all so goddamn unnecessary. There's no need for any of it. It's so beautiful here. It should be so cool to be alive

Whistleblowers just shared a memo showing DHS instructing ICE to force their way into peoples' houses without a proper warrant. Why is this not on all the networks right now? This is a criminal conspiracy to violate rights under color of law.

Can you accept - even w/o agreeing with all our positions - that Black people know profound truths about this country that are not on Schoolhouse Rock? Now that the tactics they’ve used in our communities are becoming national policy, are you ready to concede that you need our “expertise” as well?

I’m glad to see Bill say this. But when after a century of just the type of abuse we saw today - relentless and cruel, ensnaring our children and intimidating our communities - young Black people said in frustration, anger, and demand for change “defund the police” - so many of you denounced them.

I hope someone draws this wonderful story about Tom Stoppard's Arcadia and the power of the arts to help us see things differently, to the attention of our Education Secretary. Do read it, it will lift your spirits.

“Just leave the country” is not a solution to fascism. A large number of people can’t even leave their city or state They’re trapped in legislative poverty. They’re disabled. They have families they can’t uproot or leave behind The reasons are endless, but make no mistake, leaving is a privilege

Longest Senate filibusters ever: Strom Thurmond - opposing voting rights for black people Ted Cruz - opposing health care for poor people Cory Booker - opposing fascism #filibuster

Cory Booker has just broken Strom Thurmond's record for longest Senate filibuster ever, which stood for 68 years. Thurmond set it objecting to the Civil Rights Act of 1957. Booker set it arguing against authoritarianism. May Strom's name be forgotten and his memory erased.

Among the material devastation to everyday people, Senate Dems have now blown a hole in their ability to work with the House. We had an agreed upon plan, House took immense risk, then Senate turned around midway and destroyed it w/ a fear-based, inexplicable abdication. They own what happens next.

🚨 Trump and Musk want to fire federal workers, gut public services, and hand our government to billionaires. We’re not letting that happen. 📢 Join us this Thursday at 8PM ET for a mass call to hear how we fight back—together.
