Gianni Infantino, the latest in a long line of people who thought they could involve themselves with Trump and his circle and prosper. How foolish you greedy people are. You were doomed to come off worse,whilst Trump just slinks away and baits his next lickspittle. What a world.
How ironic that a huge American company, which has nothing to do with the Commonwealth , is able to outbid everyone to broadcast the Commonwealth Games, rendering many of us unable to view a major sporting event we are hosting!! But we must all kow tow to the market ugh.

Sometimes, we have thought the trees we planted when we moved into our house 36 years ago, were really too big. But I have to say in this heat, they have been such a boon.
I don't mind lawn mowers, I can just about tolerate hedge cutters as they don't come out too often round here, but grief, strimmers get on my wick! Right, got that off my chest! As you were.

I am completely absorbed by this book. I have not read anything quite like it before. The translation is wonderful. So beautifully told. Slow and thoughtful.
Back in about 2008 I visited Saltaire not knowing about the Hockney collection .Wow, what a revelation that was. Also loved Bigger and Closer at the Lightroom. What an incredible life and legacy. David Hockney,we were so lucky to have you. 💔

So I know nothing about how they allocate refs for the world cup,but surely, knowing Somalia is on the Trump's banned list, this refereee could have been sent to Canada or Mexico? He's a top class ref,he should be at the World Cup.

What a pleasure it is get up listening to Tom McKinney on Radio 3 in the mornings. My day gets off to a far better start after abandoning the Today Programme .

I saw this on FB this morning which perfectly describes the differencesè between me and Mr M. Every household has one person who stacks the dishwasher like a Scandinavian architect,and another who stacks it like a squirrel on crack. I fully confess to being the squirrel.
The archeologists working in the field behind our house,have found evidence of an Iron Age settlement. There's something rather wonderful about knowing there were people living here sometime between 800 BC -43 AD.
