I get that people are afraid dems will lose but what use are politicians that wont stand up for marginalized people _specifically in this moment_. The scale of what needs to be done requires people with courage not just another spineless politicians. We have hundreds of those right now. To what use?

AI didn’t “go rogue.” People connected a computer system they know can mess with another computer system in unpredictable ways to less advanced computer system and it messed with that computer system in unpredicted ways. As @tressiemcphd.bsky.social argues, don’t lose sight that *people* did that.

So many people swear they can read intent from a few words in a post. I do it sometimes too. But I've learned to ask first anyway. There are real reasons somebody might be saying something that sounds wild. Including being neurodivergent and literally missing the context that you take for granted.
