I think it's really important to understand that not necessarily everyone who is nice to you in furry spaces is your friend; but more like your neighbor. We're in community, and you can be friends with your neighbors, but sometimes they're just neighbors and that's okay.

This has been a persistent regular thing in every subcultural circle I've ever been in and especially furry, and especially online. I sometimes worry folks have internalized social media to the extent they believe mob violence is the only valid communication style, it's frustrating as heck.

There is nothing wrong with feeling anger, envy, or hurt towards someone, but we need to talk about this in private with our support circles.
I worry about it a lot in subcultural communities (especially my community) because nuclear-grade stochastic terrorism online is the weapon of choice of the far right. It's the primary tool of the culture that would have most of us dead. It's what brought us here. It's not good power.
This doesn't invalidate the feels! Emotion is valid and abuse does exist - It only suggests there might be more focused and constructive ways to deal with that energy than to imagine a power dynamic that truly requires a cinematic last-stand scorched-earth response.

He's actually the best. I left a window open too long last night while trying to locate this low battery chirp (the neighbor's smoke alarm from one building over as it turns out) and he hopped out. I peeked into the alley and pspspspspsed, tapped the window, and he hopped right back inside.
