They were strange days—curious dream-like days—and they followed each other silently, like shadows over grain fields. Edith Allonby, The Fulfilment, 1905.

#Pollinators I found this wet carpenter bee (Xylocopa sp.) at dawn sleeping on the underside of a leaf. You may think what you do in your yard is insignificant, but it's the whole universe to many pollinators. Support the pollinators by planting more natives & using no landscape-wide poisons.

Photo of a large bee hanging on the underside of a leaf. The bee is mostly black with a yellow forehead, yellow hairs on its back and just behind its black wings. Its legs are hairy and small drops of water have collected on some of the leg hairs. Out-of-focus greenery is in the background.

This stunning beauty arrived today. One of my passions is to collect hollow earth literature. ‘Beyond the Verge’, was published in 1896. Illustrated, this early science fiction novel places the ten lost tribes of Israel in the hollow earth. There’s a hole at the (north)pole!

From my collection: the complete run of Telonic Research Bulletin from George Hunt Williamson’s Telonic Research Center. He founded this ufo club in 1954; Barkun says he left in 1955, yet these issues are from 1955 to 1956 with many articles by him. Photos of a five sided ufo and the man himself.

I just saw a piece in @thebookseller.com about this fundraiser - to protect and share a collection of over one million Black books in the UK, a labour of love by one collector, Baba Pepukayi, but a vital resource for the nation. www.gofundme.com/f/save-1-mil... Please share, and donate if you can.

Perverted By Language Collage made from Ladybird books, Wills cigarette cards, Babycham coaster, 1960s Vogue & Woman magazines & 1960s wallpaper, acrylic marker, watercolour, felt tip

A colourful collage made from 1960s magazines books and wallpaper with a thin white blond young model applying stick blusher in the bottom left with her hair coloured in blonde and stars drawn on her face, eyeballs in the centre of the white flowers on the teal and gold wallpaper and a blonde white glove puppet in the top right surrounded by drawn stars and clouds

Two times The Unknown Woman of the Seine. Resting on one of my very few walls that isn’t completely book lined. Took me years to find her - and when I finally did, she was just a street away. The other is a smaller version, made in Germany in 1939.

My latest find takes me on a journey to 1920s German-Austrian occult orders as Pansophia, Bauherren, Loge Hekate and Faternitas Saturni. A descent into the dark heart of German-Austrian esoterism. A small window on the absolute elsewhere (1918-1933), slammed shut when the Nazis came to power.

I found this obscure publication, only 22 copies published. Much non-human contact occurred in the G:.D:., its offshoots and members during their 19th century astral travel rituals. I wrote a 7,000 word paper on astral travel that was published in the ‘UFO Encyclopedia’, 4th edition, this year.
