Data centers ate my family

Watching the Fast & Furious series for the first time. These guys with their cars have the exact same vibe as nerds with their custom-built computers.

Wow who is this incredibly gorgeous hot queer writer

When Audrey Wang Gosselin (@dreyslashthem.bsky.social) realized their interest in menswear revealed deeper truths about their gender, they wondered what suits might do for them. Behold, a coming out story + historically attuned as guide to local bespoke menswear: www.chum.news/suitless-in-...

Public Comment with Seattle City Council was wild today. Some dude used the n word (hard R) and then proceeded to call himself "the most talented poet in Seattle" 🫪

Blue Angels in Seattle today. Nothing I love more than a brown sky and all of my neighbors' car alarms going off. #seattle

"It has always struck me that the people who lead their lives in response to the prospective shame offered readily by their communities under the pall of What Will People Say? have always known exactly what people will say. The question for our lives should be What Say Do People Have?" – Sonora Jha

"If you were a boy, you could accomplish a lot ... What a shame!" – Gish Jen This one hit me right in the generational trauma. #booksky

Is this jimothy? #seattle

New cryptid

I NEED MORE JIMOTHY #seattle

Heard at the wine tasting: "Like chewing on a yard hose" "Smells like a YMCA pool" "Like sucking on a coin" We liked it! 🙂

The truth is, the impacts of I-638 won't just be felt by trans girls, but by every girl in our state who wants to play K-12 sports. It would require girls to undergo invasive genital exams to prove their sex, just to play sports with their friends. Vote NO on I-638 this November. #NoHateWAState

tax the rich but also make each of them walk down a runway where they get an extra tax if i think their outfit is ugly

I have never watched soccer in my life, nor have I been watching this year's world cup. But I know about the giant Norwegian man.

Currently reading: Ada, or Ardor by Vladimir Nabokov 📚 Currently watching: Jersey Shore S3 🇮🇹

"You're still punk rock" I whisper to myself as I put a pot roast in the oven.

Guys even jwoww from Jersey Shore knows about the harmful effects of AI data centers on the environment #ai #tech #datacenters

"It was not knowledge but understanding, which is not dependent on proof, and which therefore cannot be refuted" – @katiekitamura.bsky.social #booksky #reading

Oh what’s this? 👀 I’m gonna try and submit art to a small show. I haven’t done that before and I’m a bit nervous, but it’s coming along nicely. Done with acrylic, colored pencils, and ink. #Art #Koi

Women's objection to using AI is also seen as regressive & technophobic. There's no winning!!!

Dear Media, I do not care about her wedding. I do, however, care about how to get into recreational intertidal clam, mussel, and oyster harvesting. So maybe report on that? Thanks, awg

"Overall, hierarchies in the status of human are a key part of what racialized gender binarism contributes to sport: whose body is respected; whose pleasures or grieving matters; whose participation and identities are supported, encouraged, and rewarded." – Erica Rand #figureskating #scotus #sports

Jersey Shore (2009) is a microcosm of patriarchy and heteronormativity, pushed to its extremes. However, despite how the show platforms sexist & transphobic ideology, it is a perfect vessel for analyzing how gender is a social construct and the euphoria one can receive from gender affirmation. 🧵🏳️‍⚧️🇮🇹

Climate activists take on a new foe: Data centers

I'd never heard someone describe the perverse connection I still feel to my abuser until @jamesissmiling.bsky.social: "I'm meeting my other half, again. The other half of every therapy session, every nightmare, every tear-stricken moment of attempted intimacy with a man for the last 5 years."

UNPOPULAR OPINION; Children deserve to eat and I do not care if my taxes go towards buying them food.

🚨 Seattle Action Alert! 🚨 You have until July 20 to submit your feedback on the Seattle Climate Action Plan. The survey takes 5-10 min. Care about energy prices? Pollution? Public transportation? Make your voice heard! forms.cloud.microsoft/Pages/Respon... #seattle

"... there could have been no two hearts so open, no tastes so similar, no feelings so in unison, no countenances so beloved. Now they were as strangers; nay, worse than strangers, for they could never become acquainted. It was a perpetual estrangement." – Jane Austen, Persuasion #booksky #reading

"We need a renewed emphasis on community and community care, and a scaling back of individualism... A real cultural shift has to be around recognizing our responsibility to one another." — Rhiana Gunn-Wright What If We Get It Right? Visions of Climate Futures by @ayanaeliza.bsky.social 🌊

Scramp! 🦐
