Seriously - if one of OpenAI's *employees* were routinely hacking their competitors and random government websites, I feel like the reaction would be more than just vague expressions of disappointment. I'm not sure why the default is to shrug this off as the price of innovation.

If you step back it’s pretty amazing that we’ve all become so inured to Trumpco’s rampant criming that impeachment isn’t even discussed because it’s unrealistic. Nothing less than conviction, removal, and prison time does justice to the constitution. But we’re not generally talking about that.
