While all eyes were on Wilber who ICE shot in the back, in Austin, Texas, Mario David Coronado Juárez had crashed and burned in Grand Rapids , Michigan, while fleeing a different pursuit by ICE the same day. Just 2 days before Carlos Josué Marchena, died in ICE detention after 10 months captive.
In total, from January to August 5, 2026, ICE logged 8,226 arrests for the Central District. The most heavily impacted area this year is by far the City of Los Angeles, leading the Central District in kidnappings with 2,781 people taken. lataco.com/ice-watch-la...

CORRECTION: After looking at the flight data a little closer, there were SIX third-country removals, with an additional stop in Equatorial Guinea -- where migrants already trapped there say officials are beating them and threatening them at gunpoint.

Two private jets operated by Journey Aviation just landed in southern Poland. This is how ICE deports people to Ukraine. Using a third country to send people to an unsafe country, which includes countries at war, is called chain refoulement, and it's banned under a US-ratified treaty.

PSA: Wether flying, driving, or walking, work permits and pending asylum cases do not protect you from ICE. If your DACA is expired and pending renewal, you are a target and a work permit or pending application will not protect you from ICE. Pass it along!
