Tonight I told my oldest kid the story of Orpheus and Eurydice as prep for when I take her to see Hadestown this summer. I made a 10yr old scream because Orpheus turned around. I feel good about my parenting choices today.
I am rewatching “Four Weddings and a Funeral” and it’s very interesting to see Deaf Rep done well in a 90s film. I don’t know BSL, but what I appreciate about it is that the non-Deaf woman in the movie takes the initiative and learns the language in order to pursue the Deaf love interest.
