I am rewatching “Four Weddings and a Funeral” and it’s very interesting to see Deaf Rep done well in a 90s film. I don’t know BSL, but what I appreciate about it is that the non-Deaf woman in the movie takes the initiative and learns the language in order to pursue the Deaf love interest.

Writing a book proposal is the most mind numbing process to get to a creative endeavour. But here I am doing it anyway.

So I had COVID. I'm back after a week of rest. I am very ready to not be tired anymore.

Abortion is permitted in Judaism, & it's required if the wellbeing of the pregnant person is at risk. Medication abortion isn’t new, even if it’s taken different forms over the centuries. Access saves lives. It preserves dignity. It honors agency. Access is the path to justice.

This is also my policy. I was merciful on twitter and I am Tired and Old now.

East Coasters and Canadians, take it from a West Coaster who has been dealing with wildfire smoke for years. Those N95 masks you saved are your friends. Wear them when out. If you have a HEPA filter air cleaner, turn it on. (And close the windows).

Today in Parenting: I am caring for a child with a middle ear infection and a 7yo going through a "I don't want to mask" phase and I would like a strong drink and a cookie.

Accessibility testing is like grinding to level up in a video game. You do it for hours and hours on end, but you actually do learn new, very specific skills. Like how precisely to format one of these spreadsheets.
