Cash strapped departments want you to recruit bums on seats, bring in grants, and take over admin functions left unfulfilled after the office staff is ‘let go’.

If we have to call them Type 1 / 2 instead of false positive and false negative, use this mnemonic: the boy who cried wolf caused both Type I & Il errors, in that order.
