If this was a normal politician, you’d think he was blackmailing her or something, but I think she genuinely is just having a huge fight about toxic online shit in her head, literally all the time, and doesn’t have the sense not to let people know that.

I used to enjoy getting emails from people to say that they enjoyed reading one of my books; now it’s a time-consuming source of suspicion and wondering for what purpose AI is being employed to manipulate me.

As for the idea that the same person wrote the review and produced the Wilson translation of the Odyssey? Well, it’s possible…just about. But stylistically and thematically, the two works are so different that it’s unlikely. ‘Emily Wilson’ is best thought of as the name for a set of disparate texts.

Just saw another screenshot of The Tiger by Nael (aged 6). Apparently it’s a decade old now and it’s fun to think that he’ll be old enough to log on to Bluesky and see his own work as a meme just 19 years from now.
