On the first point, I really do implore you to support individual reporters, writers, critics and whoever else floats your boat over *brands*. In an industry as cutthroat as video game media, being able to speak directly to an audience without needing a masthead makes all the difference.

It’s my turn now! The newsletter didn’t take off so I’ve been laid off. If you’re looking for someone with 15 years of experience as a writer and editor, please get in touch. I’ve also written dozens of mock reviews and my clients say they’re good.
When you turn 18, if you want to receive your gamer license, you should have to download the entire PC-98 library off the Internet Archive and go through each game alphabetically until you learn that real smut makes a game smart. We are not doing this once every decade for the rest of our lives.
wrap it up everyone, women cannot have cleavage in fields of mistria due to it being not "wholesome"
MILFS in YOUR area have gone SILENT. our SCREENS are showing NOTHING. we don't KNOW where they WENT
I love everytime a friend starts playing Lies of P, comments on how good the music on the records are, and then I get to jump them with the knowledge they're all from DJ MAX.
anyway, love to anyone stuck working for saber today because there's like 10 jobs in the industry so when your CEO decides to go full dipshit mode in public it probably feels like a bit of a hostage situation
The "father of Xbox" reposting the one South of Midnight post saying it's no longer published by Microsoft, acknowledging it was gonna be folks' hangup, is fascinating.
I'm like 99% sure I know what's actually going on in Village in the Shade, and I don't think the game is even really trying to hide it that much, considering the opening of the game and how it has refused to directly address the elephant in the room #honoguraswweet
Saber PR in the all-hands tomorrow:
this CEO comment is how you know with 1000% certainty Stella is right
Vintage screenshots of PC-98 Eroge with nothing but the name of the game — probably fine Screenshots of Ocarina of Time backgrounds that don’t actually appear in the game with a post that says “Zelda 64 was such a vibe” — Adolf Hitler’s alt
And also all the best accounts of that kind are trans women and communists anyway
Realizing that two of my favorite games this year a machine translator would maybe get confused and think they're the same thing (Marathon and Big Walk)
Amuro, have you ever realized that the video games often labeled as “girl games” revolve around positions like store owner or farmer which for generations were opportunities only given to men. As a child of a mother, do you feel this reflects how nonviolent care is incompatible with our masculinity?
The Drama is still, easily, my film of the year. I just keep thinking about it.
Alana Haim's character Rachel from 'The Drama' will debut as a roaming character this year at Universal's Halloween Horror Nights in Hollywood.
Huge news! Support the newly independent Compulsion!
I didn't see any announcement of it but it looks like @compulsiongames.bsky.social is now listed as the publisher for South of Midnight, so if you were holding off on buying it because Microsoft was the publisher, now might be a good time to pick it up? store.steampowered.com/app/1934570/...
God imagine being one of the Saber employees right now and knowing that that’s how your CEO is willing to talk about you on the record in public
store.steampowered.com/publisher/Sa... here I made it easy for you. Click on this little gear on the link and then choose Ignore this Creator from the menu that pops up as shown
Take a moment to click "ignore this creator" in the Steam store, then all their stuff will be tagged for your convenience. it's not quite an oubliette, but it's some friction.
Scroll to the settings cog, check "Ignore this creator". I feel for those under him but nobody should be supporting a company Matt has control over when he is acting like this. store.steampowered.com/developer/Sa...
Steam Developer: Saber Interactive
Developer and Publisher known for such games as World War Z, SnowRunner and many more.

Hey everybody. I’ve seen the statement by Matt Karch, the CEO of Saber Entertainment, and all of the truly horrendous things he said about me. I think it should be obvious to anyone who reads that statement that he’s lashing out because he did not want people to know there was AI use in the game.

Let’s all keep this level of angry up when Saber’s Hellraiser game comes out and we don’t buy it.
All of this to say, I’m looking for work!! My horizons broadened. Let’s talk cool projects for your team. Dev, publisher, media, I’m open to all forms. Primarily in social, community, writing, or video. Let’s make something sick, together.
"I can't believe Twitch came out and said it's on by default, since nobody would turn it on otherwise!" yeah I think maybe yelling at the guy saying that is missing the very clear insinuation he probably doesn't actually agree with this
A lot of people keep telling me to take a few days off (I'm taking care of myself I promise) but the GAMER GRIND NEVER STOPS. I'd love to get a couple of things lined up to start this new venture so please do get in touch ❤️

For @aftermath.site, we're in a boom period for fan translations of unique games that we never made it to the west. I focused on four: Kamaitachi no Yoru, Kowloon's Gate, London Spirit Detectives, and Innocent Tears, and spoke to the people behind the projects. aftermath.site/kamaitachi-n...
Fan Translations Still Are Being Done The Hard Way
Kamaitachi no Yoru, London Spirit Detectives, Kowloon’s Gate and Innocent Tears are getting their spotlight in the west thanks to fan-translations done without AI.
