Thrilled to be awarded Outstanding Technical Achievement and Outstanding Visual Achievement in a pulp game for the 24 #playdate community awards. Life stuff sadly means we can’t be as active on socials as we used to be but love that we are still a part of the best gaming community. @play.date

Super thrilled our game has been nominated for the Playdate Community awards 💛 the loveliest gaming community

Hello bsky! You might remember us from hits such as Fighting for Better Working Conditions and Standing In Solidarity with Our Peers. We're here now, and we're ready to fight for IGN and Beyond(!) We hope you'll join us.

Hey all, if folks could jump in on this it’d help me out! It’s for a thing. Also - that’s me, if you want to follow for slightly off topic stuff too 😅 here it’s 80% playdate 20% insecure artist. 100% gold.

Anybody have strong feelings about the Super Mario Bros 2 bonus chance design? It’s always been a favourite. And I think the OG design is strongest. Less garish. Is it one you’d recognise?

The bonus screen from super Mario bros 2, a shameless reskin of doki doki panic.

Feels like this is going to be an evergreen skeet. There were times where I actively hated my creation 😂 and finding the smallest bugs when ‘final testing’ was crushing. But finishing your game and getting it out there, climbing that mountain to the top. That’s the trick.

getting good at making games involves mastering the basics sure but the longer i do this the more i’m convinced that “the basics” isn’t coding, design, art, innovative unique ideas, or UI… it’s developing the difficult habit of actually *finishing something*
