Terrifying footage from Nepal. Per @watershedlab.bsky.social seems likely the result of a glacier collapse. Mountain glaciers are increasingly unstable in our warming world. Hope that rescues are successful and recovery possible. 😔

Today we bid Iceland farewell. I will Miss the mountains and the sea and the art and the dogs and the cats and the cocktails and the bread.

We covered a lot of ground today, and with stops for snacks, views, rocks, fosses, views, ice cream, and views, it took about 8 hours. One of the most beautiful drives ever.

Post-ferry, we drove some wild gravel roads to hike to Dynjandi, an astoundingly beautiful place mid-Westfjords (can you apot @portcityposter.bsky.social and @heathermg.bsky.social). Now my most northern beer, in Isafjordur.
