I was on back-to-back panels yesterday afternoon and this morning. My brain is now mush but I had a great time! First panel was part of a satellite event for @cogcompneuro.bsky.social on Modeling and Understanding Human Brain Computation at Scale. Lots of really great talks and projects presented

Just saw Every Brilliant Thing and it was incredible. Tracee Ellis Ross was incredible. I laughed, I cried, I laughed plenty more. I highly recommend seeing it!

Foursquare just pushed out a UI redesign and I think it's now officially cooked 😢 After 15 years of consistently using it, I think I will be turning my attention to @beaconbits.app. Fortunately I've built an import tool in @passports.social. I'm afraid to flood the firehouse with 10k+ posts 😅

PASTOR LORAN LIVINGSTON (@CentralChurchNC): “There has never been a Christian nation, and never will be. You don’t live in one now. A Christian nation wouldn’t have killed and displaced 20 million Native Americans, or thought owning slaves was pleasing to God.”

Sylvia Rhone accepted the Ultimate Icon Award at the #BETAwards on Sunday. During her speech, she made it clear that honoring Black creativity also means protecting it, especially in the age of AI. Her message to the industry was direct: “We make the algorithm. The algorithm doesn’t make us.”

Today we celebrate Juneteenth and honor the resilience, leadership, and contributions of Black Americans throughout our history. Freedom is worth celebrating and protecting. Together, we can continue the work of building a more just and equitable future for all.

"To the brilliant young people who understand all this technology? Use it for your people. Find a way to use it for us. That’s what I say." This interview is great and inspiring. Liberation through education. Teach yourself, teach each other. Lead from the back. Happy Juneteenth!

Our whole city is cheering for the Knicks tonight. So it’s only right that we bring the Knicks to the whole city. Tonight, Game 5 will be streaming on 130 LinkNYC kiosks. Let’s go Knicks.
