So interesting 💭 "Relighting 'Nighthawks' - bit.studio reimagines Edward Hopper's classic artwork, turning the most crucial element, the 'light,' into something you can actually control!" The exhibit is held at the bit.studio gallery on the 3rd floor, Slowcombo building in Samyan, Bangkok. #art

Just got back from watching The Odyssey and damn I've never seen such a Brechtian film before, or a movie that was on a topic I know intimately where I was also intensely *not* the intended audience.
Company is doing another round of layoffs. I have decided that if I am finally called up, I'm opening up a SFF bookstore. I'm confident Ottawa has enough nerds.
When the fandom discourse resurgence finally gets you off your ass to write the fic that’s been rattling around your brain for the last, oh, fifteen years… I had so many things to do. The plot bunnies do not give a shit.
Oh hey, a bunch of companies are about to figure out why the Canadian government said Meta couldn't use their news sources to make money without paying the news sources themselves and why that wasn't censorship. I hope, anyway.
Google is transforming Search from a list of links into an AI-powered experience filled with conversational answers, autonomous agents, and interactive interfaces — a shift that could further reduce traffic to publishers across the web.

Wife: Please! How did my husband die? Stormtrooper officer: He fired at a Jedi and they deflected the blast back at him with their lightsaber. Wife, weeping: That must have looked rad. Officer, solemnly: So rad.
Some days I really feel the need to remind people at work that I have a bachelor's degree in lying and subtext (theater). So, no, you will not get anything past me. Stop it.
There were uncountable books in the library, none of which I knew. I picked one at random and read the blurb. "A cosy fantasy?" "Yes," said my host. I picked another. "Cosy mystery?" "Yes." "Are all your books cosy?" Cthulhu shrugged. "If you'd seen what I've seen, you'd want comfort too."
Took a break from zombie!forest!knight story to work on magical!theater!heist story instead and had the best time. A Trick of the Light Magical commedia dell'arte troupe gets drafted into doing a jewel heist by the mob to save their playhouse, only to discover the prize will cost them everything.
I will die on the hill that it's inappropriate to call Easter "Zombie Jesus Day." Zombie is not a generic term for undead - it has a specific meaning. We HAVE a generic term for beings who have returned compos mentis from death in their original, physical bodies: Revenants.
Alright self, today is a 'dig yourself out of the hole' day. Get it together.
Finished up my first book-formatting client project draft and had a delightful time doing it. #styleguidesarefun

It would also be cool if my failure to achieve something was not assumed to be incompetence if I've repeatedly brought up the roadblocks I need assistance clearing and the powers that be have done nothing to intervene.
Some day I will stop getting triggered so hard when people misunderstand me on purpose or just attribute things to me that I never said. Today is not that day.

Cleaned my screen, got a better score, lol.
Ha! This was fun!
After the sudden loss of our kitten Astrid in early November, we adopted two more kittens on Boxing Day. We lost one of them today due to a viral infection in his brain. Elliott-baby, we loved you so much. 2026 can get better any day now. JFC.
Am I quoting T Kingfisher's Saint of Steel series in the improv rehearsal I'm running tomorrow? Yes. Yes, I am. (Directing a dramatic improvised play, and "Trust is faith plus predictability" is perfection.)
I would really, really like to catch a fucking break.
The most important advice can I give to new (genre fic) writers is that in each scene: 1. The protag should be trying to do something 2. Something must change There's more to it, of course, but if you lock down a sense of progression in every scene, you'll be off to a strong start. #writesky
Ah, the age old question when writing an antagonist: how far is too far for a reader to accept when he's being an asshole?
