Toronto still obsesses about "shadows" from buildings. We need much more shade along streets & in all public spaces. Bring back awnings along high streets!

The critical thing is that European cities care about people outside of cars. North American cities mostly don't. Shade matters for people walking, biking, rolling, and waiting for buses
