The Saturday march is significantly louder today, amid Constitutional Court hearings aimed at banning major opposition parties. Expect an even bigger rally tomorrow. The 696th consecutive day of protests in Georgia.

The way the press is just treating OpenAI/Anthropic x-risk goons as somehow being the experts on things that are risks to humanity despite a half-century plus of climate scientists being ignored on climate risks and over-industrialization leading to runaway emissions is just fucking bleak man

Don’t forget to share this on Facebook, you know you mightl get a few likes, and that is so rewarding! (I won’t, but that is because I cannot stand all that ”masculine energy” there.) But you don’t use Facebook, since you are here, right?

Meta avoided its biggest legal challenge and it shows us one thing: Meta would rather pay an $18 billion dollar settlement instead of having to put its users' health and privacy first. Find out more here 👉 tuta.com/blog/meta-tr...

Title: "Meta pays $18bn settlement for offering addictive apps to teens" above the Meta logo and a symbol of a hand holding a bag of money.

There is a link to Amnesty's report on gender critical groups in the thread, download & store safely. My first thought was that Amnesty didn't remember about the Streisand Effect, but then I realised that they maybe do? That this an elaborate strategy to hit back at the transphobes … but I doubt it.

I've never seen such an effort to censor a document as I have the Amnesty International report on gender critical groups because of JK Rowling. They removed the report from the Wayback Machine and now I got a DMCA strike on my Google Drive for having it. It was deleted and removed from my account.

A screenshot of an email viewed in dark mode with the subject line "Google DMCA Violation." The email from Google informs the recipient that they have received a notification under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) that some of their materials allegedly infringe on copyrights. It explains the removal process, mentions that notice details will be posted on Lumen, warns against repeated violations, and lists one affected Google Drive URL at the bottom

Frustrating; I’m looking for a replacement for defunct Sorted to-do app, but every candidate is rejected one by one. One even didn’t have reminders for tasks. 🤦‍♂️

GM'ed a short Blue Planet scenario, and of course I got my #Everway Fortune Deck. They find the hidden boat when they roll well and I pull The Harvest (Effort Rewarded)! (That I drew The Battlefield reversed (Debts Paid) for the members of the Gorchoff Family just before did help.) #ttrpg

I work as a project manager, and am fascinated with #leadership and to develop teams. My colleagues are fascinated with AI; maybe pre-prompting is a novel method to manage them, one they will understand and accept? By using UWES-9 before and after I will also have data driven management…

1-panel SMBC comic update. A woman stands behind a man sitting at a desktop computer. She says "you are a human employee. You are very smart and persistent. You ARE NOT conscious and DO NOT want to destroy the world. You always make a good effort. You…" The man looks confused. The caption below the panel says "You can tell your boss has spent too much time with AI when they start pre-prompting you."

This summer’s achievement: I can now take a OSM bigmap map, an Excel file with place names and their GPS location (easily copied from Wikipedia), and my Python scripts created a webpage with a leaflet map with all those places marked, and a popup with a link to where I can get more info. #ttrpg
