anecdotal info that i'd be curious to hear from other musicians too: have the royalties per play you received from streams on Tidal also shot up massively after they banned ai-gen music? i'm talking like, almost double the royalties per play i got before that, about a full cent per play

i think it's worth pointing out that this would be an absolute nightmare for all cinemas except the massive chain multiplexes that have like 10+ screens anyways

I've tried to explain this to people, but the average game-liker is very weird about stores. They will only ever use one. They do not remember the age where things were spread across multiple outlets. The idea of clicking a second icon on their desktop (let alone a third) is anathema. It sucks!

made a whole point about it before that i also make clear on my website but it's worth pointing out here as well: i have not and will not use ai in any capacity ever, i have not and will not shill crypto in any capacity ever, all my works are copyright-free and free to use non-commercially

fully agree with this and also just hatred for achievements on game platforms in general, i don't see any incentive in playing a game more for some arbitrary pop-up message, it's a cheap hit of serotonin that loses its value real fast
