Very lucky to spot this Southern Hawker at Poors Allotment nature reserve today. Saw 15 species of butterfly there… just gorgeous watching them… a great day off work today 😊
Absolutely love it when you go out for a stroll down the lane and come across a beautiful thing such as this Jersey Tiger moth

A must watch. A powerful video from Norway displays gender based inequality. The look of dismay & confusion on the girls' faces upon receiving less for the same task was a little painful. They agreed it was unfair. "Girls are not less than boys." Credit: Finansforbundet, Boss Women Magic #Pinks
@weirdbristol.bsky.social I had my nails done today at the Hot Gossip nail Bar in Bedminster but forgot to ask why there is a horse above the door… any ideas?
I wonder if this red admiral will be the last butterfly 🦋 I see this year?
Large skipper. Plenty whizzing around Backwell Hill; luckily this once stopped for a photo 😊

@premnsikka.bsky.social As you ‘followed’ me, I googled you. I liked the info on you on Wikipedia - I hope it is all correct. In particular I agree with the statement ‘Sikka has called for banning MPs from having second jobs, referring to them as "institutionalised bribery".[7]’ 👍
Beautiful demoiselle and banded demoiselle. Just so, so…. Beautiful!
Sometimes it is luck that you see something in nature - happening to be at the right place at the right time - mating green tiger beetles at Poors allotment…
Possibly the worst photo of an adder, but so glad to get a record shot. Young male whizzed across path in front of me at Poors allotment nature reserve.
First lizard of the year today - wall lizard in Bristol by Clifton bridge
@ianbeavis.bsky.social Hi, I was in Bristol today - saw this bright green caterpillar on Rosemary… struggling to find what species it is. Wondered if you might help with identification as no luck with INaturalist
I've read the BlueSky impersonation policy now, and have changed the display name to reflect that this is not an official account. Please get Feargal to msg me so I can transfer this account to him.
