Damaging new guidance from the EHRC will shut out Trans people from daily life simply for existing, and anyone who doesn't conform to narrow ideas of how people should look could face suspicion and confrontation. We are taking a stand against this attack on human rights.

Deeply disappointed at the comments on my Ken Jennings video. People would rather have empathy for a cis person than the trans person mocked. Yeah it’s the trans persons fault for lightly pointing out to a cis person the New York Times is bad actually to trans person. She’s making it about herself.

I know it's far from the main point (this was a good read) but what do you mean he had ONE (1!!!) supervision meeting throughout his PhD? What a failing I have one normally every 2 WEEKS! It's not an exact measurement but I suspect I'll have had upwards of 80 supervision meetings total in my PhD. M

This is a good piece, although perhaps what I feel is missing slightly which are key elements to this story are: 1. The bulk of the initial criticism of Arday outside of the Times article was seized upon by genuine racists attacking 'DEI' etc. this immediately had a polarising effect

You only have to look at the veneration of the recently deceased Rod Liddle by prominent women in the "gender critical" movement (Kathleen Stock, Rosie Duffield etc.) to know that their claim to be "protecting women" is utter nonsense.

Been playing through Pokemon Violet and I've been enjoying it, there's some misses with the open map and the graphics (hahahaha) but it's been enjoyable for sure!

Honestly, as a cis gay, I feel this myself. I have a friend group of predominately cis queer people. They even attend Pride parties, such as this weekend. But I'm not sure more than 1 person (it may have been 0) actually asked their MP to sign the EDM against the EHRC Code of Practice.

Also something I’ve been really struggling is - why is this all falling on us? Why aren’t others doing more to protect us? Maybe that’s selfish or unreasonable- but I feel the resentment all the same.

People also seem to forget that school closures were basically inevitable in the first lockdown anyway. The Government conceded they had no alternative but to close schools because parents were withdrawing their kids and teachers weren’t coming in! People were voting with their feet already!
