That's it from our research exacavation at Viking Woodstown for this year! For a small targeted dig, we discovered SO much about this structure and about Woodstown, but this is only the beginning. Now all of that material and information must be processed so the story will evolve futher.

The @discoveryprogramme.bsky.social team were delighted to welcome our Board member, Noel Dunne, to the Woodstown excavation. Our first really wet day on site after almost 2 weeks of sunshine! We also said goodbye to our environmental specialist, David Stone, before he heads to Mongolia on Monday!
