We've got the latest and greatest from Kiyoshi Kurosawa. THE SAMURAI AND THE PRISONER is set in 16th century Japan, following a lord while besieged in his castle confronts mysterious crimes and allies with an imprisoned strategist to uncover the truth. It starts August 14th. Ticket link in bio.

Started off my day by taking a hot bath. It does wonders for my achey body (which is still having trouble adjusting to 10 hours shifts of physical activity). On the bright side, my work week is over the halfway point, and I just have tomorrow’s shift before I get a three day weekend.

Hell of a debut from Jane Schoenbrun, and a unique psychological horror coming of age film that’s told from the viewpoint of a creepypasta ARG. Has a pretty disquieting yet mundane atmosphere and I do like the film’s ambiguity. I do have the new Utopia Blu Ray coming in later on in the month.
