I thought I was so clever when I assigned these policy and position statements — and I was— but this is some of the most boring stuff I’ve ever had to grade. It’s not meant to be interesting or exciting but my brain is melting from tedium. Lord give me the mental strength to keep going!
My thrice weekly pool time has become a non negotiable in my life. I’m blessed to have a free (included in HOA fees) neighborhood pool. What will I do when the temperature drops? Buy a wetsuit? Go to a different pool and **gasp** pay money?
I was so excited when my daughter got a job, now guess who’s picking her up from work after midnight? Boo thang needs a license and a car TODAY.

Living in Florida and being racially ambiguous can be inconvenient. I’m fairly certain my next door neighbor doesn’t like me because she thinks I’m a “no sabo” kid. And I mean, I don’t sabo, but I’m learning on Duo Lingo. Folks just speak to me in Spanish and I’m like… 🤷🏽♀️😅

Email and request refunds: customer-service@ncte.org #NCTE I can’t this weekend. But I’ll develop my email and do it first thing and then I’ll share folks who allow me to share their refund requests and we’ll divest.
Great to see that NCTE is “excited about the future” given that the future will remember their cowardice.
I now regret any support I ever gave @ncte.org for advocacy day and other conferences. I will never be a member of this organization again. I’m glad I didn’t buy any kind of lifetime membership when their commitment to our community was so fragile. Shame on them.
My boo thang is going to college in like 2.5 weeks, so I’m planning all sorts of family qt. Today is family fun Friday— any suggestions? So far we’ve got spades, uno, and I’m trying to get them to pick a movie to watch. I may set up the ping pong set.
It’s a good Sunday. I made vegan mommy-le’s (homemade chipotle-like bowl), and I’m watching Big Brother with my boo who will only be home for another 3 weeks before she leaves for college. I don’t mind Devins being HOH either.

Ppl like to pretend spitting on someone is less harmful than hitting them, but the disrespect alone will get you disassembled like a vacuum cleaner.
