my past is full of honestly shitty mistakes, but I've since learned that focusing my efforts on positive messaging through art is the most pragmatic way to respond to it

Fall in love with an idea Make it Repeat That's how you make art If you wanna get good at it, just hit reasonable deadlines within responsible scope and be literate as fuck You communicate with art. If you want to do it well, developing your literacy gives you a more dynamic vocabulary.

been too absorbed into bluesky lately. finally turning off that damn for you feed I mean it's really helpful for finding a lot of cool artists/creators, but after a while it stopped being that and started being politics and things I didn't like seeing so often Also I need to be working on my game

Grudges are interesting. I joined a community in 2020 and within a few months I heard about several people that I should avoid... only to meet them years later and they were fine actually

my friends keep referring to me like I'm some kind of memetic agent, which had led to several people thinking that my existence is just hypothetical/just a bit

Other properties of matter (dog): • Static until observed, but has offline progress ✓ Sometimes, can be sometimes held firmly for comfort sometimes !! CAUTION: Outcomes exist between You, and a Dog

Decided to write up a blog post about the ancient Windows Movie Maker bug where it completely messed up colors of some images. It's not exactly a scientific write up but it doesn't seem that anyone ever tried to dive deep into this, so hopefully it can be a useful starting point

Screenshot of a blog post titled: Chasing The Ancient Windows Movie Maker Hue Shift

Leading paragraph: If you’ve ever been on old YouTube, you’ve probably noticed that people didn’t exactly take care of their videos back in the day. Washed out colors, wrong aspect ratios, extreme compression with enormous watermarks – all of that was a very common sight. But there is one artifact of the past, that has always piqued my interest. That is: The Windows Movie Maker Hue Shift.

feels like I can't use dashes in my writing anymore because of the AI association, which is sad since they're so useful for conveying a change in thought -- new bluttery chicksen only at taco boing $2.99

Sin that must be eternally punished is a culturally Christian idea that you can and should reject. If someone admits wrongdoing and changes their behavior, that's the desired outcome. You don't continue to punish because you then signal there's no point to contrition at all, you're damned either way

Chastising for ongoing misbehavior is correct, but if it's not ongoing, you will struggle to justify what kind of problem it is that you're trying to solve.

the thing about human beings is that we're constantly evolving. Learning the difference between good and bad. Finding ways to be better. It's a process that requires a lot of time, which unfortunately is no longer accounted for when all your historical missteps are easily accessible via the internet
