What a weekend. Only got to do one day at comic con, Friday, but it was filled with seeing old friends, making new ones, and my first time at the Eisners! We didn’t win anything but what a rush still (the cookies they gave us might have played a small part in that). And then Sunday was my birthday.
I’m a poor artist who is terrible at choosing gifts so I’m very happy you like my art as gifts, baby! I love you and wish you the happiness on the birthday. And everyday!

The Eisners were fun! The food was great, the excitement was real! We didn’t win, bigger names dominate the categories, of course. But Jenny Blake Isabella’s rousing speech brought us all to tears, and several others ended theirs with “free Palestine, abolish ICE”.
The dealers room at SD Comic-Con is so sad, an ocean of high end collectibles of high visibility properties. Even insanely talented artists are only selling their fan art of such things, because that’s all that sells. Even SHAG was only selling LOTR and Star Wars prints (very nice ones at that).

Welp, I guess it was TOO stacked because I actually won’t be able to make the Queer Horror panel. 😭 But you should still go to it if you are there. All the panelists have great things to say there. I will still be at the Activism panel and the Eisners.

I point out split diopter shots in movies like an excited child. I doubly do so for these shots in 3D animation! So cool and silly that they exist.
Entrenched democrats need to have a hard look at how their social circles are just other politicians—republicans—and wealthy donors. And how they can possibly be representatives of the people if they only deeply interact with these same circles. Anyway, I won’t be mourning the Graham Cracker
