On national assistance dog day I heard from the charity org whose umbrella I wanted to work the Dogtor that we aged out. We'd been on the waiting list for 4.5 years. There are over 300 people in front of me. I know at least one qualified under three different associations :( it's unfair.

Too wobbly to make iman biyaldi so just making it as a sort of stew instead. It's one of my favourite dishes in the world; aubergines are justthe best.

#terriertuesday. I overruled Hallelujah on posting a picture of his rat kill this week as it's not fair for the sensitive. So here he is helping Babka and Goxua to sleep :) and helping me evade bed making because I cannot disturb them.

Update on the vessel struck in the Strait of Hormuz. A distress alert has also been issued. A fire has broken out and the Third Engineer is currently reported missing. This is the reality of #TheHormuzCrisis. Human life is not worth the profits for shipping company orders.

I don't now if those not connected to agriculture are prepared for the impact the IK drought is having. Of course crops struggle; but livestock aren't doing brilliantly either. Grass growth is SEVERELY decreased. We have bare ground where I have never seen it . 1/

Really pleased with this cat proofing. The chicken wire is not invisible but it's not oppressive . It's not yet cat proof- won't be till winter pruning done - but they can be out there giving my time to peel them off fences and trees :)

Some pear boughs have been casualties of cat proofing today - and while most of the fruit that has come down is hard - it's very definitely sweet. On my normally sept - oct ripening varieties! The early dies are succulent now - and I am just not ready for them yet!

I've been looking up the butterflies I see this afternoon ( I decided I wanted to know more that we had lots of white ones and lots of orange ones) . I'm really excited that one of the orange ones is a species that's endangered- it likes dog violets which I put in loads of- cos I like them Too!

I overdid yesterday and am struggling with mobility . And it feels GREAT to have mobility impaired by DOING SOMETHING. The heartbreak is when my body won't cooperate and I get nothing done - to feel sore after stuff is - like DOMS gone mad psychologically- it's ok!

Don't be like this man. When passing horses, walkers, cyclists pass at 10mph , when there is space to leave two metres space between ( yes that's hard on country roads) The pony on the right is VERY solid, her flipping shows her discomfort with his speed and proximity.

We FINALLY got out driving again! Huge relief! It was nearly a non starter as we couldn't get girths done up they are so fat! They had a great time. We did an easy 4.5 mile route .

I am baking a poppyseed babka today. And now I feel guilty because I was doing Babka in celebration of Babka(t) but it's Goxua's first birthday .
