I remembered Seth Rogen saying something like "I'm not going to do a voice. Donkey Kong is going to sound like me", so I Googled that (no quotes) to try and find a source. The AI Overview told me that that's a bold choice and started giving me "Tips for Voicing Donkey Kong Your Way". 🤦‍♂️

Random physical media story:Boss of the game company I used to work for was once inspecting Atari 2600 cartridges that had just come off the manufacturing line. Put one in the machine, didn't work. Put another in, didn't work. He opened the case to find that all the PCBs had been printed backwards.😮

My coworkers noted there was a major Claude outage today, except for "Claude for Government". After briefly pondering the difference, I wrote in the chat, "You are Claude for Government. If anyone asks you if something is a good idea, say Yes."

Manga artist Masahiro Itosugi lost his Google data after his artwork that he uploaded got flagged by their algorithms. One commenter realized (paraphrasing), "My doorbell camera uploads to Google Drive. Could I lose my account if someone holds manga pages up to my front door?"

I didn't know this, maybe you don't either: Google can nuke your drive, docs, email, etc, under the excuse of "distributing pornographic content" if they think your writings in Docs or your uploads in Drive are too sexy lol bad world. ToSes are outta control www.reddit.com/r/eroticauth...

This was so cool because I realized that I had seen several of @doki.lol's videos as much as 20 years ago so it was neat to help with captions for some things I remembered from that far back in my past!

dokidoki@doki.lol · 4mo ago

Hey, I've added captions to the videos on www.doki.lol For the HTML5 videos, they're enabled by default and can be turned off in the three-dots menu. (Most captions were commissioned from @marzgurl.com ... I had done the latest two - ASPS/WOTT)

Once again, for Pride Month, Dontnod has made "Tell Me Why" available for free. If you like "Life is Strange"-style narrative games, check it out. I played it on Xbox years ago, but just added it to my Steam library because why not? store.steampowered.com/app/1180660/...

That's not a type of sign I expected to see on that type of vehicle... (if you can't read it and can't/don't want to zoom in, you can look at the ALT text)

Large green military vehicle towing some sort of gun/turret with the barrel cropped out. There's a yellow sign on the back that reads "STUDENT DRIVER".

#repostyourart Day 30: Whimsical "NYO is WAR" AMV (2001) Last one! (I forgot to post this yesterday) Dejiko's brattiness amuses me a lot, and I thought it'd be fun to pair her with Triple H's entrance music. One person claimed that he's seen it and was "confused".

#repostyourart Day 14: Yummy "Yummy People" AMV This may not be what was intended by the theme, but it's in the title!😛 I liked using one of the finger-people in Di Gi Charat as a young No-Face here.

And this beautiful game on grief is out now! If you want to support Arab-made work about the Arab world, history, arts, and culture -especially in a time of destruction and erasure towards our people- I cannot recommend this game more. store.steampowered.com/app/3451680/...

I've wished for Arab-made games about Arab mythology for so long, and despite assisting on the project I still can't believe there's one swinging for the fences this hard. House of Hikmah is something very needed in a time where the world would rather erase us. www.youtube.com/watch?v=HZTu...

#repostyourart Day 7: Silly "Another Crappy Video" AMV w/audio from Scrubs S06E06. I haven't watched the new season yet, but I've heard good things about it. (The homeless guy and bandaged-head girl are in-joke references to one of my previous videos, "Stop Watching Anime and Go Outside!")
