One of my favorite and most effective design patterns is "tell the player exactly what you're gonna do to them, then do it." You can be SIGNIFICANTLY meaner to the player if you simply tell them ahead of time that that's exactly what you'll be doing, and also the suspense of the warning is a delight
hey, are you in hell? take this easy pattern from watashi no teddy bear, a japanese teddy bear making book from 1993. I made it so you can print on a4 or letter paper, and added seam allowances. even if you're bad at sewing, a friend is a friend no matter how they look. make as many as it takes.

honestly my biggest take away from the discussions surrounding jg this week is that I want to learn to be more intentional in how I support the victims of rape and sexual abuse. I've been really grateful to the people who have been speaking out clearly and definitively.
this is gonna be on my mind all day. i had a lot of respect and gave money to people referenced in this not knowing the history and it just sucks reading such dismissive responses to someone who went through something deplorable. love and solidarity with nathalie.
