I'm indescribable.

Since birth, apparently. Even my family told me I'm weird. My bosses told me I was weird. My Aunt told me that, even as a toddler, I used to talk about snakes in the toilet and stuff like that. She said it made some people feel uncomfortable. I'm 75 now. I finally feel comfortable in my weird skin.

QUESTION OF THE DAY: This sounds like a joke question, but it isn’t. If it doesn’t apply to you, fine. But it’s a serious question with different levels of meaning. And I am genuinely curious. When did you first realize you were weird?

And now the best part: Bot traffic from the #Yandex network has plunged to near zero following the strike on its Vladimir data center. Bot traffic includes automated requests from search crawlers, scrapers and other online services. Twitter must be a ghost town by now.

All three Yandex AI supercomputers are reportedly offline: Galushkin in Vladimir, Chervonenkis and Lyapunov in Sasovo, whose data center shut down after the Oct 8 strike. Yandex Cloud outages also threaten thousands of Russian firms relying on it for websites, databases and payments 👏

I’ll be a much happier guy, when gas powered lawn equipment is banned forever. Just listening, for the last 2.5 hours, to a landscaper trimming a hedge. This guy cuts for 10 minutes solid, and then rakes and sweeps, then another 10 minutes. His Stihl trimmer is easily 120db. Well beyond reasonable.

The complete disregard for urban left voters by the NDP is expected and disappointing. Once again the failure of governments to build more housing in supposedly urban places has left the parties to fight over suburban voters who can only be bought by inefficient gas subsidies

So here's my plan. We'll suspend 10 cents a litre of the provincial gas tax, and bring in a price guard so the BC Utilities Commission can cap what oil companies charge. That's savings of up to $20 every time you fill up, and up to $100 every month for a two-car family.

The first show, that truly scared the crap out of me, was a Walt Disney short that showed the inner structure of the human body. All that muscle and tendons and bones... along with the organs, left 5 year old me with nightmares for quite a while. Here it is 70 years later, and I remember it clearly.

In honor of scary media month: what is the first piece of media you remember truly frightening you as a child?
