Dork. Dad. He/him.

Timer (2009). Fantastical rom com where an implant lets the user know how long until they meet The One. A very well observed, and very Californian, comedy of manners with Caulfield excellent as a hopeless romantic who is hopelessly modern and wants the impossibility of love with contract riders.

The point is that we built an economy of hammers because we're only measuring how many nails are sticking up. And showing people charts of successful nail hammering doesn't matter if those well-hammered nails are in a piece of lumber that no one is using.

Anyone who has lived through sustained periods of being poor knows that boot theory explains one of the most insidious poverty traps. Likewise, anyone who spends all day on social media loudly dismissing boot theory is really only showing the bias of having lived a very comfortable life.

This is the WNBA & Indiana Fever’s fault. This is from XX XY Athletics’ IG account—that’s Sophie Cunningham with Riley Gaines & Jennifer Sey. The worst transphobes. I haven’t written about it bc it’s gutting how unprepared the league was for this & now we have explicit hate visible at games.

It's fair to criticize a person for their shitty behavior, and it's fair to criticize a religious institution for shitty doctrine. That said, it's shitty to criticize a person for their religion. Attacking people for their faith, be it Islamic or Jewish or Mormon or whatever, crosses a line.

among his other faults Ken Jennings is a practicing lifelong Mormon who did his Mission in Spain- Mormonism is a weird cult, no better than Scientology, and not a belief system I'd bless with my follow

the success of the new Spider-Man movie shows that audiences are not tired of superhero movies, they've just been waiting for the next big thing from the Madame Web cinematic universe
