Next month will be 50 years of I, Claudius, one of the greatest TV series Currently on BBC4 and iPlayer, huge fun, gripping drama, extremely funny and even more horrible Need another reason to start? Born OTD 10 BCE, the actual: I, Tiberius Claudius Drusus Nero Germanicus, This, That and the Other…

On me tod today, so what better way to spend a sunny afternoon than some bleak and disturbing horror comics. Enjoyed these. Easy read, some nice imagery and atmosphere and really interesting page design.

Lemire and Sorrentino’s BONE ORCHARD series.

It really is. Only watched this for the first time in the last couple of years and it’s every bit as good as people say it is.

As @jacklyttle.bsky.social has highlighted in his Discord, a repeat of I, Claudius is starting on BBC4 tonight. I’ve also noticed it’s up on BBC iPlayer in its entirety too. It’s a masterpiece. Even though it’s studio-bound and feels like a play (maybe even because of it), it still feels epic.

Book all but done with a title change! Two 'special' internal pages to finish which I saved as a treat, and the cover is currently underway. It'll go to Kickstarter early Autumn, and I'll set up a pre-launch soon. This is one of the early pages - I will show more eventually - there's 120 of 'em!

A text free, three panel page from a graphic novel in black and white. It features an old car being driven to a North Devon destination in winter. The driver is a woman in a cloche hat and scarf.
