Shout out to the cashier at the Co-Op who saw the roughly £25 worth of shrapnel in my purse and said "Empty that out, we're gonna change that up for you" My purse is no longer heavy enough to be a deadly weapon

"How did you get into TTRPGs?" My origin story is pretty common for more recent players like myself: My friends got me watching Critical Role I have always had an active imagination though and I did do Play-by-Post roleplaying on internet forums in the 00s, which my friends though was weird 😅

"How did you get into TTRPGs?" My answer: I found out about the original Dungeons & Dragons from GAMES magazine in the late 70s, ordered it by mail. Couldn't find anyone to play it with until the 80s, where I was in campaigns run by @aiabx.bsky.social @tlwest.bsky.social & @poslfit.bsky.social.

The box cover of the Dungeons & Dragons Basic Set (2nd Edition), featuring a large red dragon sitting atop a treasure hoard in a dark dungeon. In the foreground, a wizard in a blue robe and starry hat holds a glowing torch and wand, facing the dragon from the left. On the right, a knight in plate armor aims a bow and arrow toward the dragon. A yellow banner in the upper-left corner reads "Basic Set with Introductory Module," and the red title text reads "Dungeons & Dragons." Published by TSR Games.
