This is true! Extremely true. Every marginalized person has a story of someone in their community taking advantage or falling sway to social norms. But. We have so little representation that isn’t problematic. Subversion doesn’t feel real or earned here, especially given other story tropes.
I have been thinking a lot lately about “imperfect” disabled representation—the disabled villain who wants revenge for their body and how they’ve been treated, the person struggling with a new disability and internalized ableism. People constantly try to tell me “some disabled people are assholes.”

White fury impacts polls, but it impacts elections more. Bottom line is when white people overall go to vote they are fiercely oppositional to socialist or progressive candidates because if socialist or progressive candidates win it means “the Other may benefit” and this they must not have
