Most (all?) of today's deals look like a sell-off of useful major leaguers to dump salary. A couple exceptions to that, I guess. Stafura is legit. Ballesteros is legit. But mostly--salary dumps today.
Doyle is a surprise to me. But it shows the organization is all-in on Cole Carrigg. Wishing Brenton nothing but the best. To my White Sox friends, you’re gonna love the defense!

My thinking on Skubal is.....ok, fine. Come playoff time, you are going to really want Mason Miller and lefty Mason Miller and Mason Miller-lite in those tight games.
If I were the Tigers I would have waited another day to try to squeeze more. But I don’t hate it. And yes, the Tigers gave up but the Brewers and Braves and Cubs haven’t. The Rays, Yankees and Red Sox haven’t.
