Left side of the aisle. South Carolina Gamecocks and Atlanta Braves fan.

The Times may have gotten one right. (At least the pictures. I haven’t read the article yet.) PM Carney appears quite serious if not angry. He is justified in the latter. Donald, accessorized with that classless and repulsive hat, looks like the blathering, mouthing-off buffoon he is.

Canada-U.S. Trade War Escalates as Talks Collapse

Negotiations to stave off new U.S. levies ended in an impasse. U.S. tariffs on Canada, and retaliatory tariffs on the U.S., will come into effect.

The screenshot includes images of Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney that are described in this post’s text. Carney is dressed in a navy blue suit, white shirt, bluish-green tie. Trump is wearing a navy blue jacket, an open white shirt with a rumpled collar, and the standard red MAGA cap.

I’m pretty sure this is in the top five. Patriots taking airports during the Revolutionary War was one for the ages. Put aside the absurdity. This seems a bit dangerous.

Reporter on Bond Market: The yields have come back up since then. Have you talked to Bessent about another type of intervention.?
Trump: The ultimate intervention is our military. And if we have to use that, we will.

2/2 It's time to start saying "John Roberts" in the way we say "Mike Johnson," "Scott Bessent," "Marco Rubio," "Kevin Hasset," "Doug Burgum," the late "Lindsey Graham," etc. People who might have known better at some point, but are now operatives and will be remembered as such.

The Bushes gave us Thomas, Alito, Roberts. Mitch McConnell gave us Gorsuch and Barrett. Donald Trump gave us a lighter version of his alter ego, I Like Beer. Credit where credit is due.

When Trump said in ‘15 or ‘16 he could walk out on 5th Ave, shoot somebody, and it wouldn’t matter, it was prescient. Perhaps the only prescient moment the man has ever had. I doubt anyone knew just how prescient it was. I didn’t.

John Roberts is gonna John Roberts. It would be comical if it weren’t so destructive and depressing. I would love to see how history views Roberts and his Court in 50 to 100 years. Perhaps an option for thee but not for me.

A ‘solution’ that makes the situation worse and angers an important faction of his base. Classic. If he’ll put a little effort into it, he can start another war before the mid-terms that everyone hates, further weakens the military, increases debt, and inflicts more damage on the economy. Cuba?

Today, I concluded a deal to substantially lower the price of ground beef for working American families. As everyone knows, under President Biden, beef prices soared at their fastest rate and the American beef herd fell to its smallest size in modern history. As we work to rebuild this herd and help our ranchers, for the next 90 days, the United States will allow up to 300,000 metric tons of product for ground beef to be imported with no out of quota tariff. We have a commitment that this beef will be sold at 25 percent below current market prices. This deal will reduce prices for Americans while giving space for our Great American Beef Herd to grow again. Thank you for your attention to this matter! President DONALD J.

Michael Cohen is a convicted felon. That makes getting a visa from other countries much harder if not impossible. He may be stuck where he is. Cohen being the despicable person he has always been, the wayward son returns to home.

Michael Cohen said before the last presidential election that if Donald Trump ever returned to the White House, he would change his name and flee the country. Two years later, he invited his old boss onto his radio show instead.

Harp’s letters. Failure at every level. 1) Wiles epically failed as chief of staff. Harp nor the letters should have gotten past Wiles. 2) Narcissist Trump encouraged and relished in it. 3) National security damage. 4) Harp and Wiles should be terminated today. 5) Add to impeachment list for 2027.

National debt: $40 trillion. It’s been a long time since my Econ classes, and one of my professors spent a not insignificant time just reminiscing about life on the Horseshoe decades before. But, I seem to recall less jobs = less revenue and more jobs = more revenue. That no longer applies?

The harm and destruction Trump has already inflicted on the United States is infinitely greater than what five Natalie Harpers could possibly do. Perhaps the WH staff should be concerned about that.
