That women in France was actually married to the man who drugged her and invited other men to have a go. Consenting to SOME sex never means consenting to all possible sex, and bringing in a group of other people is definitely not included in most normal sexual consent situations.
If at one point she says, 'I was so intoxicated that I didn't really feel that I could make a choice', then it's game over. An intoxicated person cannot give consent. Period. It doesn't matter if she initially consented. The DA is either incompetent or a sexist jerk. Or both. He should be fired.
New information? This is infuriating. It’s the farthest thing from surprising that she would try to smooth things over with guy(s) she knew, minimizing while trying to work through trauma. And picking and choosing her texts to (again) present the assaulters as victims is disgusting.
